This was just a very great read!

Response from the author:

This is one of my favorite things I have ever written, so thank you for this, Albert! I started to become more brave with my writing after penning this anthology submission. :)

This short scene/tale has a lot of emotion packed into only a few words.

You get to hear every thought running through the MC's painfilled brain as he makes the decision whether to head for the light or the dark.

The ending left me breathing a sigh of relief.

A great read

When you face death do you really see the light?  What happens if you flee the light and race to the darkness?  How strong is the power of love at this time?  The Light is an intriguing short tale that explores these questions.  It only takes a few minutes of time to find the answers in the wonderful bit of reading.  They will be minutes well spent!

Response from the author:

I don't know where this story came from. I set out to write a poem, and this just happened. To this day, I think it is/was integral to who I am as a writer today. I have learned to trust my instincts, and have never looked for a beta reader because I'm not sure that would work for me. We authors are all different in how we approach our craft. Of course, I relied on my editor, @Timothy M. for his occasional input and suggestions, and as a team we worked really well together, and in part I think it was because he doesn't like to beta read. I'm getting sidetracked, but I just want to say thank you for bringing 'light' to this older story. Much appreciated. G
