Awakening Forever  1. Forever Saga

   (2 reviews)

What if you woke up and realized your whole life has been a lie? For Jack, hiding from the truth is a way of life. Ashamed of who he is, the fear of discovery keeps him locked in a dead-end life with little hope of finding the forever love and the family he longs for. Then the phone rings, and he is thrust into a world different from all he’s known. He discovers his true origins, and the roots of a new kind of family where he can finally belong. Now he must choose between staying on the safe path and hiding from who he is, or risking it all and fully embracing the man he was destined to be. Can he do it afraid?

Awakening Forever is the initial story of the larger Forever saga - it is a story with a likable lead character who is very easy to relate to and incredibly memorable supporting characters that are very easy to love. A simple phone call triggers a series of events that will change Jack Schaeffer's life and make him face his own self-imposed limitations and challenge him to be the best he can.

This story is overflowing with optimism and a firm belief in the power of love, human connection, and the ability we all have to make the world a better place with actions large and small. It's heart shines through at every turn.

The story ends before he even gets off the ground on his vacation to paradise.  Good thing there are more books in the story, as I found it a very enjoyable read! I just hope the author has an expedited posting schedule for Book II!
