How does an ancient god come to be and what does religion mean?
When Ashran jumps off a cliff to save himself from ritual sacrifice, he meets The God Nergal and finds himself. And Nergal, well... A god does have to fulfil his role, doesn't he?
Please be warned - this story contains a good portion of heresy, atheism, superstition, casual violence and gore and other things that are pure poppycock and probably offensive to some people. This is a short story I've been sitting on for years and probably hard to follow as it hasn't been edited. It's actually a prologue for another demon-related story I'm planning on writing, but it works just as well on its own.
