for my dear Sister ..
And I can only hold you in my mind
My fingers tell you I love you and
That I am sorry for your loss and pain
I wish I could take it all from you
But it is love that makes us hurt
And if I took it, what then?
No, we each must mourn
Feel the sadness death brings
And when the acute becomes ache
You can remember him as he was
Until then I will sit with you
Arms around you, lips in your hair
Sit and be quiet just holding you
And let you feel your despair
