Spice Rack - 11. Possession

Perhaps the scent of cumin? Should you sniff out any mistakes, I claim full responsibility for them.

Anoint

my warm body

with your finest essence,

heated, exciting, redolent

of you;

come to

my deepest and most sacred space

I invite your bold touch,

make me into

your own.

I give my thanks to AC Benus and Asamvav111 for their inspiration and help. Please consider leaving a comment. I appreciate them all.

Yet another tasty offering, Chef.  I detect cumin with a hint of turmeric and cayenne ;)  Nicely done, as always. :)

Beautiful. Again you make the short lines savor of the entire intent of the poem. Very well done, and wonderful to read.

A rich olive oil infused with the heady scents of the spice market in Marrakesh.

In some ways, this poem started the whole collection. It is amazing how so few words can say so much. I really appreciate your generous and thoughtful comments.

You have again characterized a poem from the collection well. Such scents remain with us forever. Many thanks for taking the time to read this.

Parker! I love when you spice up my morning. This morning was warm with intense flavor... Ummm!

Something like this is better than sugary breakfast cereal, isn't it? The flavors are intense indeed. Glad you enjoyed it!

Making the act of love a sacred, spiritual, shared experience. Beautiful.

Your words are immensely kind. If you see the wonder and passion in this, then perhaps this succeeded. Many, many thanks for your kindness in reading these.

I've always been a believer in less-is-more. I think well chosen words can often say more than a sentence. A single word can .. push you back.

All of these poems prove that to me. Wonderful, Parker.

Thank you, tim. You have no idea how encouraging your comments are. Choosing words so carefully inevitably leads me to doubt whether I made the right decisions sometimes. Many thanks, again.

Your secret smile makes me smile, too. So very glad you enjoyed this. You are kind and generous to read and comment on this latest Spice on the menu.
