Spice Rack - 6. Anticipation

Perhaps this one will pique your palate? Any mistakes that were made were perpetrated by me.

Long weeks,

wary circling,

testing, trying, teasing,

tumbling slowly into this one

moment;

above

my sprawled form you hover, unseen

ready to touch, to knead,

to embrace me

as yours.

I give kudos and thanks to AC Benus and Asamvav111 for their help in making this collection. Please feel free to comment or leave a thought. I am grateful for all of them.

You keep ratcheting up the heat with these.  *fans self*  I particularly liked the line, "tumbling slowly into this one moment".  You're going to be an executive chef before you know it. ;)

I like the passage of time and the anticipation of what's to come here. Like a slow dance, it heightens the sensuality.

Thanks, Mac. In some ways, it's the summary of a wonderful story, isn't it? I really appreciate your comments.

Each of these poems add their own blend of spice, yet they seem to all be part of one master dish, presented to the reader in flavorful bite-sized pieces.  Really well done, Parker :)

You have made my day. Thanks. There is more of the meal yet to come, too.

Perhaps like a good homemade curry? Your comments are very kind and generous. Thank you so very much for reading these and for your responses.

Low music, slow teasing caresses...very sensual..sexy

You are writing my kind of poetry already. The slow buildup is sweet torture; the moment before the first touch is sublime. Thanks for reading this and responding to it.

I am so glad you picked up on that. Those two syllables certainly heightened the anticipation for me. They made this a poem picante indeed.  Thanks so much for reading this and commenting on it.

At the point of surrender. A nice place to be.

The hope was to catch that moment, that instant when all anticipating becomes fulfillment. Thanks for reading.
