Reece's Choice

There are currently no reviews.

When confronted with his family’s bigotry, Reece is faced with the first of many choices. He can continue to tolerate the caustic atmosphere or he can walk away and finally focus on making himself happy. His cousin’s friend Dave unintentionally becomes the catalyst that forces Reece to make a choice. He can only hope it's the right one.

Eventually I hope to expand this story into a novel length one, but for right now, it's driving me nuts sitting complete on my computer. I used the breaks that were already there from when I wrote it, so some chapters are very short. However, Reece's Choice is complete and will post on a weekly schedule that is already set up. The final chapter will post on September 28th, 2015. Enjoy!

Update: I decided I wasn't happy with the way I ended the story and have added even more chapters. Posting will now conclude on October 26th!

I like this so far, Renee...I really hope things work out with Dave, and I'm glad that Josh is on his side. Stirs up some memories of my own experiences.
I was five years older than your hero when my father rejected me, no matter what age such things happen the pain is still intense. I think that's part of why I'm writing my 'Jay' story, to deal with those feelings and try to paint a happier picture of my family.
Very eager to see where this goes!

Thanks for the review, CG! It's always a good thing when there's at least one person on your side. I don't know how I'd deal with it if ever did something that caused me to be rejected by my family. I hope you continue to enjoy the story!

Reece meets Dave at a family meal. They are never good affairs, but this one goes horribly wrong. I mean how could Reece, an out Gay man, dare to bring Dave ... he'd didnt but that's beside the point.
Yelling ensues and Dave and Reece escape and they become friends and lovers and are soon devoted to each other.
Throughout this well written tale Reece is faced with choices he has to make, each affecting not only his own life, those he loves as well.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story and recommend it.
Nice Renee.
