Howdy y'all! Time for another College Week! PHYS 2425: This week, my teacher taught us about forces, specifically friction. However, this was also the week that my class had our first exam. And well... I got a C. To be honest, I'm one of the lucky ones, half my class actually failed it. MATH 2414: But not everything is doom and gloom. Where last week we learned how to differentiate inverse trigonometric functions, this week, we learned how to integrate them. Again... super fun! SPCH 1321: In Speech, I gave my second speech, and I got an A on it! ENGR 1201: In Engineering, we got assigned reading for the weekend. Woohoo. In all seriousness though, it's only 35 pages, so it ain't a big deal, lol. Anyways, I have a question for y'all, have you ever done poorly on an exam? Well, that's it for this week!

Today is MLK Jr. Day, so my Spring Term won't start until tomorrow. I just want to outline what my time will be like at school. Well, I'm not taking that many classes, just 13 credit hours in total. Plus, they are spread over the week: on Monday/Wednesday my classes begin and 8:30 AM and on Tuesday/Thursday at 9:55 AM. And they end at 12:35 PM each day. What about Friday? Well... my college doesn't hold classes that day, so... three day weekend! Of course, these classes I am taking are fairly heavy duty so a lot of my free time will probably be spent studying, especially around midterms and finals. In any case, I should still find time to be on GA spreading my angelic goodness everywhere. On a more serious note, this is a weird time for me. I'm in the process of changing my major. To what? I have no idea yet. Nothing really calls out to me, but as y'all know my love for math will be influencing what I decide to choose. A part of me wants to be an engineer, but I'm stuck on what type of engineer I want to be. Another part wants to become an architect, but the rest of me has no clue what I want to do career wise. Sadly, whichever career I ultimately pursue, I ain't exactly confident I'd be good at it. Goodness, did any of you ever have any of these uncertainties when you were in school? I'd appreciate any advice y'all can give me

Hey Guys, I wanted to reread a story from a few years back. Sadly I have forgotten title and author. It has a guy with a baby. He takes the baby to the hospital. The doctor treating baby was old college boyfriend. I think ones name was Ben. Sound familiar? Tried advanced search with no luck.

There's a story posted on GA I read a while ago. I can't remember the main characters name, but I do know he was involved with a military student by the name of Mike. They had a hot and cold relationship. There's was also an English foreign exchange student who he liked, but he had a hard time because he wasn't sure if the guy was gay or not. He acted jealous whenever he saw him with Mike. There was a part when Mike had cadets sing while they ran and asked him out. Mike had a confrontation and got banned from going back to the fraternity. The last chapter I read, the English dude confronted the main character because the fraternity he wanted to get into rejected him, and he thought he had something to do with it. If anyone can tell me the name of the story, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm so stupid. I remembered the name as soon as I hit submit. It's the English Year by Jwolf.

Alright everyone. I'm finally finding some free time to start writing Triple Play, the third installment in Devin Williams' life. I know it's been a long wait, but I've had a lot of school stuff to do and will in the future, so it's going to be slow going. Having said that, I'm very excited by what I've got planned for this third novel, and I hope you like where I take Devin and Bryce in the midpoint of the series. Without further commentary, here's a sneak peek of what's going to be going on in Chapter 1. Let me know what you think, and as always thanks for reading! “Dear Mr. Williams; Upon your return to campus, you are required to meet with an academic advisor to discuss your athletic scholarship. Please ensure that you book an appointment with an academic advisor as soon as possible to discuss funding for your upcoming academic year. Whitman College looks forward to your return.” All along the drive back to Whitman I re-read the letter I’d received from the school, hoping that there was some kind of mistake that would explain away why I’d suddenly been dropped from the scholarship. I’d arranged a meeting for later today like the letter had asked, but the only thing I could think of was that the school didn’t think I deserved a scholarship anymore because of how little I’d played in the previous year. It wasn’t my fault. I didn’t ask to be attacked and be on the disabled list for most of the year, and the worst part was that because I had been playing in games before and after the attacks, it wouldn’t even count as a redshirt year, so I ended up wasting most of my eligibility on recovery and being in the hospital. Dad dropped me off at Phi Delta Theta’s house and helped me unload things. I wasn’t too surprised to see that most of the brothers hadn’t yet arrived back from the Summer break; a lot of them were coming from out of state, and wouldn’t arrive until the last couple days before classes began. I knocked on the door with my stuff and was surprised when Bryce was the one who let me in. I embraced and squeezed him when he pulled the door open for me. “Bryce! Good to see you, I missed you. I’m surprised to see that you’re already here though, I thought you wanted to spend the last couple of days with your family?” “I did, but I figured you’d be coming back soon anyways, so I may as well claim a room that’s going to be big enough for both of us, and of course one that’s far enough away from the other rooms that they won’t hear all of what we’re going to be doing.” Bryce said with a smirk.

Hey everybody--wanted to create a discussion forum for my new story, "The Best Four Years of Adam Becker." Adam Becker wants out. Out of the shadow of his popular big brother, out from his stifling D.C. prep school, out from the political spotlight of his high-ranking Republican father. So when he heads off on his own to college in New Orleans, one year post-Katrina, he gets more than he bargained for: four years of friendship, love, secrets, hurricanes, and debauchery--his best four years yet. I started writing this story about two years ago. I was going through a difficult breakup--my boyfriend had moved to New York, and I had no intention of leaving D.C. I was also leaving my first job out of college, at a political nonprofit, and I intended to write a novel about my experiences in the 2012 election cycle. But I couldn't get past the first chapter. And, after writing the same iteration of the same opening scene over and over again, I figured I'd rewind a bit--and write a fictional series loosely based on my memories from college, and what was going on in my life. I never intended anyone to read this: this was my way of creating on on-ramp to the eventual novel, sharpening my skills, and getting words on a page. I've written the story through the beginning of senior year--but over the last six months or so, I felt my energy beginning to wane. So I figured I would edit it, chapter by chapter, and put it online here--find an audience, and feel like I'm writing for someone, rather than into the abyss. So far, no one's read this but me--even my college friends, who provided a lot of character and plot inspiration, have read only brief excerpts--but I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for reading!
