The prompts are back this week! Yay!!!! Just a reminder, and for those who haven't worked with the prompts before: prompt responses under 1,000 words must be posted as part of a collection. Prompt 666 – First Line Tag – First Line “Shut up and kiss me already!” Prompt 667 – Challenge Tag – The Customer We’ve all seen that one person who causes a scene at a store or restaurant. Create a scene with “that customer” who flips out and demands everyone’s attention so they can try to get their way. How outrageous can you go and still make it believable? I know there were no prompts last week, but did you write one anyway? Don't forget to share it below.

Woohoo! We made it. Well, I sort of did. Sorry these are a few hours late. But for those of you who are just about Halloween-ed out, this week's prompts should prove a welcome break. Prompt 712 – Creative Tag – First Line “What can I tell him?” Prompt 713 – Creative Tag – Meteorite The station has been exploring deep space for years. Flash fiction is a great way to help keep your inspiration juices flowing, especially if you're blocked on a long writing piece. Or you can use it to explore different writing techniques. Either way, just make sure you give it a try and pressure your author friends to try it too. In this case, peer pressure is a good thing, lol! Seriously, expand your repertoire and try your hand at something new if you haven't done it before. Or have some fun if you have but aren't really using it to push your skills in new directions. These prompts might be about ordinary things, but let's see what you can do with.... Prompt 702 – Creative Tag – List of words Use the following words in a story – text books, new sneakers, a bus, a cup of coffee, and a ripped bag. Prompt 703 – Creative Tag – First Line “Is that a baby crying?” Did you write a flash fiction story last week? Make sure you share a link below.

Well, I don't want to promise any heat this week (those weirdos in Canada already getting hail and snow, what's up with that?) but maybe down in the southern hemisphere, they're enjoying the weather shift as we begin September. Perfect weather to sit on a bench and ask a ton of questions, like in last week's prompt. Did you try it? Or did your ex crash your big engagement... from beyond the grave? *shivers* That's an October-worthy prompt right there! Make sure you share your prompts below if you wrote last week, or maybe this week's selections will inspire you! Prompt 698 – Creative Tag – Witch Today you woke up in house you didn’t know. When you went outside you met a bunch of little people, a talking scarecrow, and a walking robot who keeps saying he is the army of this nation. The big issue is your house seems to have killed someone and they want you to put on some large silver sneakers that look like they weigh a hundred pounds each. Not only that, but they keep calling for some woman, and telling you that you’re a with like the little girl who came last time. Are you mad or caught up in something? Prompt 699 – Creative Tag – First Line Mom, what’s for dinner? Did you write a prompt response last week? Make sure you post it as part of a collection if it's under 1,000 words in length!

Well, hello again, lovelies! Did you all have a good week with all my blog features? It's me again, yes again! How about some writing prompts this time, once again thought up by the amazing guru, Comicfan? Though, I did add a photo in the comments last week that went well with one of the prompts. Was that helpful to wiggle a few ideas loose? Should we add in the occasional picture inspiration to the mix or just throw some in the comments as the fancy strikes? Share your thoughts! Prompt 684 – Creative Tag – Soldier You’ve run into him three different times this week, and his stiff outfit and manors mark him as newly minted from the service. Considering the Army base is at the edge of town, seeing a soldier isn’t so surprising. However, when you nearly walk into him on the sidewalk in front of your home you decide to talk to him. Who is the soldier? Prompt 685 – Creative Tag – First line What do you mean, you’re dating Death? Did you write a prompt response last week? Don't forget to share it below!

I'm back again! Happy Friday! Did everyone make it through the week? Did you get some writing done? There's always time for a little flash, right? Well, maybe you wrote for the game featured last week or maybe you wrote for the weekly prompts, or maybe you wrote something of your own. Either way, great job! Or perhaps one of this week's prompts will catch your fancy. Give it a go! Prompt 680 – Creative Tag – First Line Don’t bother trying, kid. I’ve been trapped here a week, I think. Prompt 681 – Creative Tag - The class When you were hired, you were told you’d be teaching English as a second language to aliens, and you’d have five students. When you heard aliens, you thought you meant children from somewhere south of the border or perhaps Asian. Instead there are five literal aliens from another world. What do you do? Did you write a prompt response last week? Don't forget to share it below. And here's a link to the site newsletter with links to all of the Gay Pride Headline Prompt Game responses!

Oops. Sorry was a bit off last night so Friday is starting off a bit late. However, there are new prompts for your consideration. Prompt 760 – Creative Tag – First Line “Because I said so!” Prompt 761 – Creative Tag – The Ex You’ve been busy with work and finally, have a night off. Deciding you don’t want to spend it in front of the television you go out. Barely out of your car you turn and knock someone off their feet. As you go to help them up you find yourself face to face with your ex. What happened next? See something you like? Take a shot and write a story. Remember to share it with us. 'Til next time remember to read, write, comment, and like. Enjoy all.

Ah, another Friday has arrived! So has more rain and my grass is getting to be ridiculously high. That isn't a lawn as much as a rapidly growing jungle. Hopefully this weekend the sun comes out so I can cut it down. If not, well, I can always curl up and write something. Speaking of writing it is time for some new prompts. Hopefully, I can tempt someone into writing something based off of this week's offers. Prompt 754 – Creative Tag – List of Words Use the following words in a story – Amazons, an old church, a shredded shirt, an iron gate, and an ancient tome. Prompt 755 – Creative Tag – First Line Blood gushed from the place where his finger had been torn off, but he didn’t seem to notice as he stumbled toward the body on the floor. Maybe one of these will tickle your interest. If you did write something based off a prompt feel free to share the link below. Remember short stories should be part of a collection. Until next time please read, write, and comment!

We are almost to the weekend and for some people, that means Easter, Spring recess, and a break from normal routines. It means a bit of free time to perhaps write. That might be for the upcoming anthology or just maybe a new prompt story. Considering it is Friday, I have new prompts to tease you and tempt you into writing. Prompt 752 – Creative Tag – First Line Wherever he stepped the sandy beach burned and left glass imprints of his footsteps like a bizarre pathway out of hell. Prompt 753 – Creative Tag – Rebirth You knew when you married your partner that you were accepting the problems that come with it. Different beliefs, habits, and holidays are the least of it for the two of you. Today they started the rebirth cycle. They’ve said goodbye to everyone and will spend their final hours with you before the cocoon forms. When the cocoon opens they will be reborn. Your mate will remember everything but they will have changed. They could be the opposite sex, much younger, or the same sex but their appearance will be vastly different. Their race is known for this and goes through rebirth every twenty-five years. They live a total of close to nearly three hundred years if they don’t accidentally die. What has happened to your partner? Will they stay with you or move on? Unfortunately, I don't think anyone has taken on the prompts lately. If you have and want to share please add the link below. Remember to read, write, and comment. Enjoy life! Until next time.
