OUT Loud At Last is a photo campaign in response to Adam Bouska's NOH8 campaign. We are “removing the tape” and celebrating the legalization of Gay Marriage in the U.S.! I was in NYC when the SCOTUS ruling hit the press, and I immediately wanted to celebrate by having a photoshoot. My Friends Kayla O’keefe and Schyler Conaway helped form the idea of “removing the tape” to reveal a rainbow and show our pride in finally being able to live OUT Loud At Last. Those are the words of photographer Jenna Pinchbeck, excerpted from an article in Philly Gay Calendar. To read the entire interview, go here: http://phillygaycalendar.com/pages/col.php?id=1055 Pictured is Brian Sims, a Democrat representing Center City Philadelphia's 182nd District in the House of Representatives. In 2012 he became the first openly LGBT person ever elected to the General Assembly in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's 237 year history!

Interesting article in today's NYT about the experience of being gay and the effects of same-sex marriage in the Southern United States. The article writes of the experiences of four couples and compares the year 2013 to present day 2015. I found the article and the included video to be quite moving and wanted to share it with you. There is an option at the end of the article to submit your own personal experiences. If anyone would like to include their own narrative about the new reality here, then you're very welcome to share (remember, no political discussions). I included the link for those who would like to read the article and watch the video. Struggling for Gay Equality in the South

Vincent Autin and Bruno Boileau kissing after their wedding today, the first in France after the gay marriage and adoption law was passed 10 days ago. No-one on this site is going to object to two gay men being able to tie the knot and seal their love are they. I wish them every happiness in their lives together and for the many who will follow them.

John Coffey and his partner, Bernardo Marti, who live in Pimlico, central London, are booking a slot at one minute past midnight on Saturday 29 March with Westminster city council – the day gay marriages are recognised in law. They hope to make history twice by becoming not only the first same-sex couple to wed but also to do so in a double ceremony with friends who are straight. "We will be their witnesses, and they will be ours. In my mind, that will be a true symbol of equality – a straight wedding and a gay wedding at the same time," said Coffey. http://www.theguardian.com/society/2013/dec/11/couple-plan-uk-gay-marriage-legal Here's to both happy couples If you want to make a comment other than just congratulations, or ask a question, please do so in a blog I've set up to avoid any problems with GA rules. Thanks. https://www.gayauthors.org/forums/blog/504/entry-14426-uk-first-gay-marriage-on-saturday/ .
